| 1408 | Electrical Design Engineer Rugby ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER, ELECTRICAL MACHINES Number one in marine and offshore industries and number three in worldwide Oil, Gas and Process Industries, our client is a worldwide specialist in Power Conversion, providing customized solutions to convert electrical energy through optimum application of technology in drives, controls, motors and generators. Purpose: • To produce electrical design, manufacturing and test instructions and be responsible for co-ordinating all engineering activities on a wide range of individual projects for customised or specially engineered large rotating electrical machines. Main Tasks and Activities: • Responsible for the production of engineering instructions in support of procurement and manufacturing and co-ordinating engineering activities in support of individual tenders. • Responsible for ensuring that the engineering output for individual allocated projects is produced in an accurate and timely manner, within budget. • Responsible for project technical liaison with manufacturing, suppliers and customers. • Responsible for the production of test instructions and the analysis and verification of test results. • Responsible for the technical content of Installation, Operation and Maintenance Manuals. The above is not an exhaustive list of duties, and incumbents are expected to undertake all reasonable duties as requested. Essential Qualifications/Training • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering. Experience • Experienced in the design of a.c. motors and generators and associated packaged equipment. Circumstances • Willing to work in Rugby. • Willing to travel occasionally, both within the UK and abroad.
